Runmates is a unique location-based social running app that motivates, connects and fosters the global running (and soon-to-be-running) community at the touch of a button.
Runmates is distinct from other running applications in that we focus on motivating and supporting people who want to run by offering them the opportunity to match with a like-minded local running partner or partners (Mates) and schedule their runs in advance. Our focus is deliberately not on data and tracking of a run that has already taken place (though that functionality is coming) but in motivating people to take part in running in the first place. We believe that by enhancing the social and fun elements of the sport through connecting running Mates we can become the number one platform to motivate people of all ages, standards and sexes to get up and start running.
